Children are an inheritance.

"Father, I come to you in the beautiful, all powerful name of Jesus. As You are committed to hold Your children safely, so am I for my children. I agree with Your word that I have  not had children who are destined for misfortune or disaster. My children will be taught of the Lord and great is their peace. My children will know to bless me as they were given as a blessing and they will have a heart that turns towards their parents.  Where there is rebellion, sickness, need, or any other sin, I trust Your Holy Spirit to convict and convince them of the way they should go. Before they were born You wrote a book about their lives. Please open that book and have Your intentions and plans declared aloud in the heavenlies that whatever Your will is in heaven will be done on the earth on their behalf. Forgive me and others where we have not properly modeled Your heart to them and I ask that You counsel them in their hearts and say what needs to be said. I know that You neither slumber nor sleep and they are always on Your mind. Innumerable are the thoughts You have about my children. I thank You for your promise that in the last days, You will pour out Your Spirit on ALL flesh and our sons and daughters will prophesy. Create in them a hunger and desire for You, Your ways, and Your Word. I thank you that my children are a joy and a gift from You and I praise You for who You are and all that You are doing.  Cause me to know how to cooperate with Your plans for my children that we would be co-laborers together in their lives."
Scripture references and promises about children:

Psalm 139:13-18
"For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully formed in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my formless substance; and in Your book were written all the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts for me, God! How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You."
