What must I do to be saved?

Please read the portion below and the scriptures before you pray -- if you do not understand.
"Jesus, I come to You agreeing that I have sinned and I need to be made new. I cannot do this myself. I ask for Your forgiveness to be applied to me--the forgiveness that You paid for with Your own blood. I accept You completely and I need to know Your love and a life of freedom from evil. I trust You to adopt me right now. Bring me into the family of faith and teach me how to live with You and for You. I surrender right now. I need Your love, power, and grace to be born again. Thank You for coming for me today. "

(Continue pouring out your heart to God in your own words until you are flooded with His love and peace. This is YOUR DAY.)
Why do we need to be 'saved'?
You've probably noticed by now that even your favorite person is not 'perfect'.

In the beginning, this was not the case.

God created people to live in constant union and communication with Him and this was pure bliss!

Adam was tempted to question this and with his decision to go with another option, this connection was broken. This brokenness became the inherited reality for all who were born from those, now broken, parents.

We all inherit more than just our eye color and other physical characteristics from our parents and ancestors. Literally, we are storehouses of mountains of data of behavior, tendencies, consequences, and predispositions to go our own way and not glorify God. You've probably noticed this, too, in your family or others you have observed!

God's unstoppable love made a way for that connection to be restored. In fact, it is more than restoration--it is being made new and we are given the power to be a new creation.

Now, obviously, we will still look the same after we are born again--so where is this big change?

INSIDE!--where we need it the most! Our spirit is born again and made alive to God and that connection is an explosive reversal of what Adam did!

Aren't you ready for God to do an inside job for you?

Here are some scriptures about this:

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

It is by grace you are saved, through faith. It is the GIFT of God so no one can brag that they 'worked' his way in! (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Jesus is actually praying that you will say yes to His invitation to step in to the forgiveness that is yours: Therefore He is also able to save to the UTTERMOST those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so WHOEVER believes in Him will NOT die but will have eternal life. (John 3:16)

In summary--  We are all guilty of going our own way and not serving Him, His forgiveness is already waiting as a GIFT, and you bring joy to God with your YES!
Join the millions who know this relief of having all guilt, shame, rejection, condemnation, and fear REMOVED by the blood of Jesus and step into the new and living Way of knowing the love of God for yourself. All of us need this so desperately and also to know that when we leave this life, we will continue living in eternity with our loving God.
